New-York Style Meatball Pizza In A Pizza Oven! (Ooni Koda 16)

Today, I am going to be making

Ingredients:

  • 6-8 Meatball Halves

  • Pizza Sauce (Blended whole peeled tomatoes works great)

  • Pizza dough, rolled into a 12-inch pizza

  • 1/3 Cup Parmesan Cheese

  • 1/3 Cup Mozzarella Cheese

Directions:

  1. Add a very small amount of tomato sauce onto the dough after you have rolled it into a pizza shape. Trust me, go very light with this right now otherwise you won't be able to rotate the pizza. Make sure there are no holes so it doesn't get sticky. You will want to assemble the pizza on the peel, so it is ready to go into the Ooni.

  2. Slide the pizza off the peel and into the Ooni Koda at 500 degrees C, and slide the peel back under the pizza, and spin after about 20 seconds.

  3. Once you have repeated this and the whole pizza has been somewhat cooked, so you are easily able to spin the dough, add on the parmesan, then the meatballs, then the mozzarella.

  4. Put the pizza back in the oven for another 30 seconds, and then take it out and it is ready! Don't fret if you mess up the first pizza, that happens often because it takes a little while to get the hang of this. Enjoy!
